Prime Minister Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley helped turn the sod for Nutrimix’s Next Generation Hatchery today.
The facility will be laid out on five acres of land which was once part of the Brechin Castle Estate in Couva.
The facility is designed for a total capacity of 3 million eggs.
It will directly employ 100 persons during construction and 50 persons when it is operational.
