Prime Minister Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley receives a courtesy call from United States CAPSTONE Programme

Prime Minister Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley received a courtesy call from a delegation of senior US military leaders today (Wednesday 08 May, 2019) at the Diplomatic Centre, St Anns.

The 18-member delegation which includes Admirals, Generals, an Intelligence Advisor and an Emergency Management Expert will meet with senior government and military officials in Trinidad and Tobago over the period May 6 to 9, 2019.

The visitors are participants of the United States CAPSTONE Programme Hemispheric Field Study (2019). This executive-level programme is designed specifically for new Generals and Admirals. Its overarching goal is to set conditions for future success in the joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational environment by equipping these leaders with the knowledge and perspectives they need to collectively achieve national security goals.

The delegation was presented to the Prime Minister by United States Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, John McIntyre.

The Honourable Stuart Young, Minister of National Security, Communications and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs were also present for the meeting.
