Prime Minister Rowley Receives Courtesy Call from Canadian High Commissioner

Prime Minister Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley received a courtesy call today (Friday 03 November, 2017) from the Canadian High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago, Her Excellency Carla Hogan Rufelds.

During the discussions both parties acknowledged the deep history of cooperation and friendship between Trinidad and Tobago and Canada and agreed to continue strengthening this relationship.

The areas identified for continued partnership include education, information and communications technology and renewable energy. Talks also focused on the transformation of the public service through the restructuring of the public service commissions.

Dr Rowley invited Canada to expand on its significant role in the region.

Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses and Pamela Greenwall, Political Counsellor, Canadian High Commission also attended the meeting.
